Description
Fire extinguishers are only valuable if they are used properly. The Lake Oswego Fire Department provides a free fire extinguisher training program for businesses and groups inside the fire district.
The program consists of 2 parts:
- a short film and discussion on the types of fire extinguishers and
- a demonstration fire set outside where participants get hands-on experience putting out a small fire.
The fire department provides all equipment and training is about 1 hour in length.
What do we need to conduct a class?
- A minimum of 10 participants
- A classroom
- A TV and VCR
- A space outside that is clear of cars
- A garden hose
