Sherry has served on our Lake Grove Fire District Board since July 2010. She and her husband, Allen, moved into the district in 1974 where they raised their two children. Sherry worked as a dental hygienist and later sold residential real estate and farm properties. While researching water rights, land use and environmental issues, Sherry decided to run for the LGFD Board. She and Allen also volunteer with the Lake Oswego Fire Department’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Her goals for the LGFD: safer buildings and construction with higher state and federal quality standards, more customer/public participation at Board meetings, more transparency of known problems, hardening our system to better prepare for earthquakes and more effective fire suppression while developing solutions in a sound financial plan.
